Tactility and variety.
Façade clad in beautiful, hand-formed, un-evenly burnt bricks achieved by exposing the dried clay to different temperatures in the kiln. The masonry becomes a varied, rich patchwork with a strong tactile and visual expression changing during the day, in different daylight and weather conditions, as well as when seen from various angles. The design of the Ribosomen block refers to the adjacent 19th century city blocks designed by renowned architects such as Cyrillius Johansson and Ragnar Östberg.
