Hotel in the beautiful mountains of Idre.
The Idre North Park hotel will become a contemporary and comfortable destination for both relaxation and adventures. The resort is scheduled to open in 2022 and we are designing its main building. The design concept intends to include a distinct service offer with a warm and welcoming well-considered aesthetic, characterised by high design quality and comfort.
Designed in collaboration with Viterstedt Arkitektur.

Rich urban fabric of Faaborg.
When outlining an urban development, we start by identifying specific relationships between the built environment and people’s everyday lives. Distinguishing the unique character of an urban environment can be achieved by a sensitive approach to various historical and social components and thus can our design become a living, rich urban fabric.

Materiality informs design.
Conceptual illustration showing one of the four high-rises at Ringstorp in Helsingborg. Staying true to the inherent characteristics of the material, the facades resemble collages of expressive concrete elements elevated by shiny glazed cubic balconies with perforated steel railings. The scheme is located on a hilltop overlooking Denmark and the strait in front.

Elderly Care Skärvet .02

The project was completed in 2019 and since then has been awarded and nominated for several architectural prizes. The building was designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification and won the 1st prize in the LEED Project of the Year award.
Can you see how the tiles in the façade resemble textile patterns or even a crocheted old tablecloth?

Elderly Care Skärvet .01

Our elderly care is a corner stone of a new urban district in Växjö. With its carefully detailed facades, the building creates recognizable definition for the elders. The L-shaped footprint presents a variation in the spatial design with different functions for social interaction. The rooftop terrace gives a view over the shared courtyard and the adjacent green recreation area.

The housing cooperative Solkvarteret in Malmö focuses on locally produced, renewable energy. The scheme is going to be nearly self-sufficient in terms of electricity, generating it using solar cells on the roof and storing it inside the building. There is also a so-called Smart Grid helping to optimise energy consumption. The property has recently been awarded a sustainability prize.

Bergsvåg .03
The scheme acts as a transition between the old functionalist buildings in Hjorthagen and the contemporary architecture in Norra Djurgårdsstaden. The interior concept reflects the overall design approach and presents many bespoke solutions and natural materials in warm hues. The generous windows give breathtaking vistas over the Stockholm city to each apartment as well as the park beneath.

Bergsvåg .02
The two curved buildings of Bergsvåg comprise 54 residential units and a preschool, forming an undulating courtyard with a public passage in between. The volumes are designed to strengthen the existing topography, following shape of the steep hill covered by large trees. The overall design also introduces small-scale public spaces inserted in harmony with nature.

Bergsvåg 01.

Bergsvåg is designed to follow the dramatic topography of the site, a former quarry in Stockholm.
The C-shaped and S-shaped footprints of the two residential volumes are formed by repeating two types of wedge-shaped modules. Simplicity creates complexity.
The material palette is closely anchored in nature, making the project blend in with the surroundings.

Blackwall Yard

Rich and layered silhouette with a distinct character, instantly recognisable when seen from different places in the city. The stepped high-rises combine four of London’s classical typologies as distinct spatial components – the harbour warehouse, the terraced house, the townhouse and a high-rise. Roof terraces are full of greenery and facilities for shared urban farming, connected to the vibrant public realm designed with a green and blue theme in focus.

Sala Backe .02

Narrow streets, small yards and dense parks could feel unsafe, especially when it gets dark. Diverse activities taking place at different times of the day could prevent such feeling. Mixing programmes and carefully integrating the built environment in the surrounding greenery and urban infrastructure are some of the possible strategies.

Sala Backe .01

How can we design places that feel safe at all times? One way is to design buildings without empty backs, with all facades activated. Mixed use developments such as our Sala Backe scheme in Uppsala is a great example. Commercial spaces on the ground floor are open in all directions.

Villa VY

Adapting to the site and its topography was an important part of the process when designing this family home.
Blasting the rock was avoided by carefully placing the house on the site, and the use of a plinth foundation allowed its facades to land directly in the undisturbed natural landscape.

A neighbourhood with a wide mix of households, offering a creative area for young families with high expectations on life quality.
Private courtyard blocks have the possibility to open to local side streets and adjoining linear parks so that play and family-focused activities have the opportunity to spill out from the internal yards out into the public realm to contribute to an enriched urban life.
