A climate-smart residential block clad in wood

This scheme encourages community interaction through shared spaces and everyday amenities. The design allows for future growth and provides a high level of flexibility, strengthening social bonds between neighbours. Supplying a communal laundry room and a kitchen from the start, six of the ground-floor units can be converted into other non-residential uses and opened up towards the street and adjacent courtyards.

Centralköket for Trianon provides 65 affordable rental dual-aspect homes spread across a mix of two- to three-storey apartment blocks, with units ranging from studios to larger family-size apartments. The design, scale, and form have been carefully considered to respect and enhance the original institutional setting with orchards, as well as the neighbouring community.

As the expectations on life quality, wellbeing and recreational aspects increase, public places in our cities change. And so do our neighbourhoods with open-air spaces, safe routes to walk and bike to school in the morning or evening, outdoor gyms for all ages, and pleasant local green parks to enjoy. Such green spaces and good public open space generate value and serve the community. Park streets, playgrounds and urban greenery become nodes where community comes together.

A tall building that activates its immediate environment

The residential building, centrally located in the district, will deliver new rental homes offering more bedrooms and flexible spaces suitable for larger families. The units are designed to provide spatially efficient and qualitative layouts, good and generous homes that promote social living both within the private realm as well as outside in the shared communal areas and the public realm.
