Woodlife Talks: Adaptive use
Kjellander Sjöberg is giving a ‘Woodlife Talk: Adaptive use’ on how to use the already built as a resource, taking place at the Institut Suédois in Paris.
The lecture will present the revitalisation project of Gjuteriet and discuss KS’s approach to sustainability and re-use. Gjuteriet is located in the old industrial harbour of Malmö,
a district which is now becoming a new vibrant neighbourhood called Varvsstaden. By adding new timber structures and recycled brick elements to the existing building, the
historical landmark is to be transformed into an innovative, open public meeting place.
In the framework of the Swedish Design Movement, Woodlife Talks bring together architects and city planners who focus on designing sustainable futures.
The event is hosted by Architects Sweden, Institut Suédois and Kjellander Sjöberg.
