Meridian Water - local opportunities and micro-neighbourhoods

Kjellander Sjöberg are a diverse community of architects, urban designers, and planners with exceptional talents collaborating closely across Sweden and the UK. Experts in delivering creative architecture and masterplans, we participate in the innovative urban discourse of three vibrant cities in which our studios are based: Stockholm, Malmö and London. These places champion the future of liveable environments and good growth development and allow us to drive new thinking which supports thriving communities based on the quality of life, social equity, and resilient, sustainable models.

The city, as such, is the foundation of all our projects. A place to explore and expand on.

Hartree, Cambridge
Nacka Port, Stockholm - a place for urban sustainable lifestyle of the future

Collaborative by nature, we can also successfully fashion bespoke teams comprising leading UK practices to bring specialist expertise to large scale projects. Our Swedish and UK partnerships are valuable assets allowing us to combine the best experiences of both creative cultures to bring unique new perspectives to architecture, urban design, public realm strategies and spatial narratives. As Kjellander Sjöberg we bring a different voice to the discourse – we approach the UK context afresh and without pre-conceptions to develop new and relevant approaches from first principles.

We are focussed on making rich, inspiring, and authentic places with a clear identity and a positive social impact. With the emergence of revitalised streets, parks and neighbourhoods we see a renewed interest in urban quality which inspires our initiatives to reimagine cities as welcoming, flourishing and nourishing places which promise opportunity and potential. Our interventions are acutely rooted in contextual sensitivity and actively shaped by positive community engagement. We approach architecture and creative masterplans in a very granular way to realize places and spaces that are meaningful, relatable, and enjoyed at human scale.
